Structures of Being: The Reimagined World of Casa Batlló through AI and Light

Anyone even slightly familiar with the work of Antoni Gaudí knows that he drew his inspiration from nature. Palm leaves, clusters of grapes, and even entire animals or their bones became elements in the fences, facades, and interiors of his masterpieces.

Argentine artist Sofia Crespo chose a similar direction for her light show, developing and expanding Gaudí's universe with the help of artificial intelligence. "It has been a fascinating project because it combines art and technology, the cultural legacy of Barcelona, and a creator whose work is still alive and constantly reinterpreted by artists", said Sofia.

But Gaudí’s legacy also inspires musicians, in addition to artists, sculptors, and architects.. Musicians are also influenced by the magical touch of the Catalan genius. As an example, renowned composer Robert M. Thomas created a musical canvas specifically for this 3D installation by Crespo. "Casa Batlló represents a key moment in Gaudí’s work. A moment of breakthrough, an explosion from which a solid identity emerges", noted musician and performer.

The mapping “Structures of being” will unite unique architecture, digital technology, and modern music performed by Cosmos string Quartet and organist Juan de la Rubia.
